History
RE/MAX, which means Real Estate MAXimum or REsultats MAXimums, comprises the most important network worldwide in the real estate field.
Founded by Dave Liniger in 1973 in Denver, Colorado, RE/MAX has witnessed phenomenal growth, considering its revolutionary nature based on the contribution of its independent franchisees.
In 1978, the hot air balloon appears on the official logo of RE/MAX, a strong symbol fittingly representing the dazzling growth of the network across the whole planet.
It is in 1982 that RE/MAX Quebec Inc., presided over by Pierre Titley, takes root in Quebec.
In 1988, RE/MAX becomes Opération Enfant Soleil’s main sponsor. This telethon has received over 11.5 million dollars in donations.
RE/MAX launches its website in 1997. This is the most frequently visited corporate website in the real estate industry.
In 2005, the Explorer RE/MAX tool is released on the market to give agents and their clients access to Google Earth-generated images of the neighborhood where they would like to live along with the services offered within the proximities.
In 2009, RE/MAX maintains its privileged position in the real estate field by continuing to be the network that generates the most sales worldwide. Currently, RE/MAX has over 7 000 offices spread across 74 countries in North America, South Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Offices will soon open in China. RE/MAX is a model of success in the real estate world!
RE/MAX Cadibec Launch
In 1983, Yves Cadieux launched the first Quebecois RE/MAX franchise in Pierrefonds along with two partners. The visionary perceived RE/MAX as the ideal solution for independent brokers working in the real estate field. Yves Cadieux is the person who promoted the concept according to which an independent agent can benefit from a 95% commission.
The RE/MAX Cadibec office was inaugurated in Kirkland in 1996. It comprises over thirty agents who distinguish themselves with their exceptional performance: its specialists in real estate brokerage get higher salaries, in proportion to the size of the RE/MAX Cadibec office.
